Finding Answers for Bernadine Gunner's Family:

In an inspiring showcase of relentlessness and state-of-the-art technology, United Search Corps Missing Persons Unit solves the 14-year-old missing persons cold case of Bernadine Gunner. The missing Camden mother & grandmother was 52yrs old when she was reported missing from Camden back in January 2010. Her Blue four-door 2006 Hyundai Elantra with the New Jersey license plate number VNF-32T also vanished along with her never to be seen again. An initial search was conducted by local agencies to no avail. Family and friends searched endlessly to find Bernadine and pleaded with the public for answers. The case quickly went cold and was no longer being covered by media outlets.

On 5/15/2024 after 45 minutes of search operations, our Missing Persons Unit discovered Bernadine's vehicle submerged within the Cooper River approximately 1 mile from her last known location in the 1300 Block of Park Ave, Camden New Jersey.
An ensuing underwater investigation identified the remains of Bernadine. Our team, in collaboration with the Bellmawr Dive Team, Steve Flanagans Towing, U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation, Camden County Prosecutor’s Office, local law enforcement from Camden and Pennsauken, New Jersey State Police, and the Office of Emergency Management, successfully recovered the Hyundai from cooper river that finally brought closure to a lingering mystery in the Camden community.
The emotional relief this brings to Bernadine’s family, friends, and the broader community is immeasurable. It underscores the vital role that United Search Corps plays in the community— Our hearts go out to Bernadine's family, friends, and all who have been touched by this tragedy. USC remains steadfast in our mission to deliver answers and advocacy to families of the missing.
