Peoples was last seen walking near her home on North Morris Drive in Geneva, Alabama at 3:00 p.m. on September 8, 2011. She told her parents she was on her way from her boyfriend’s house to their house, but never arrived. She left her front door wide open and left her bicycle, her only means of transportation, behind, and has never been heard from again. Peoples has a mild intellectual disability and a slight speech impediment. She has a dime-sized birthmark on the inside of her leg just above the knee and may use the last names McKee or Peoples-McKee. Her case remains unsolved.
