According to the indictment summarized by The Charley Project, investigators believe Crawford was kidnapped from her apartment by three people, driven away in her own Mercedes and shot to death, and that two people later returned to her apartment and took her phone, keys, laptop computer, jewelry and designer clothes, and later had her Mercedes cleaned and sold.
