Circumstances
Sauta traveled from Orange County, California on May 15, 2017 with Johnson Nguyen, Dan Nguyen and Tony Sysavanh. On May 16, 2017 he called his wife to say the group had arrived in Trinity County, California. Their rented silver 2015 Jeep Cherokee, California license plate 7UGP903, has never been recovered, and their phones were used in the Stockton area on May 18 and 19. Sauta, who is Dan Nguyen’s brother-in-law, has tattoos including an eagle on his left forearm, the word “Family” and script on his left chest, a lion on his right shoulder, and another tattoo on his left ribcage. Foul play is suspected. His case remains unsolved.
