Bly was last seen in St. Croix Falls, Wisconsin at 7:30 p.m. on August 21, 2009, driving her white 2001 Pontiac Grand Am to meet a cousin at a bar in Cushing. She called her husband that night and said she would be home by midnight, but never arrived. Her undamaged car was found five days later in a parking lot in Grantsburg, Wisconsin, with the keys missing and no evidence of foul play. Her case remains unsolved.
