Circumstances
Rudd was living with her family at the D.C. General family shelter in Washington, D.C. when her mother placed her in the care of Kahlil Malik Tatum, a janitor at the shelter. She was last confirmed seen on March 1, 2014, on hotel surveillance video with Tatum. After she was reported missing, Tatum’s wife was found dead in a Maryland motel and Tatum was found dead of an apparent suicide in Kenilworth Park, but there was no sign of Rudd. She may have been wearing a purple Helly Hansen winter jacket and pink boots. Her case remains unsolved.
