Summers was last seen in Cleveland, Ohio on July 9, 2007. Earlier that day she had argued with her great-uncle, who broke her cellular phone. She was last seen leaving a pool party at another relative’s home in the 2100 block of West 96th Street, saying she was going to walk to her aunt’s home a short distance away, but she never arrived. Because she often stayed with different relatives, two days passed before her family realized she was missing. She has a tattoo of a heart with the name Gene on her upper right arm.
