Dulce was last seen playing at Bridgeton City Park in Bridgeton, New Jersey on September 16, 2019, while her mother sat in a car about thirty yards away. Her younger brother ran to the car crying and pointed toward some red maintenance sheds where he had last seen her. Witnesses described a man putting a child into a red van with a sliding door and tinted windows and leaving the park. Her case remains unsolved.
