Sanders was last seen leaving her waitress job at Pete’s Patio Restaurant in Niles, Michigan close to midnight on July 20, 1975. She had ended her relationship with her boyfriend the week before, and witnesses saw him follow her out of the restaurant that night. Her 1973 or 1974 AMC Matador was found on August 5, 1975 in the parking lot of a Holiday Inn in Niles, with no sign of her. Foul play is suspected. Her case remains unsolved.
