Kittelson was last seen in Anchorage, Alaska on May 14, 1975, doing repair work. He left in the afternoon to buy a part and never returned; he was believed to be driving to Seward to obtain a motor part from a boat and never made contact again. He was driving a black 1971 Chevrolet pickup truck with Alaska license plate LT-65986. He has two gold crowns and a partial dental plate. His case remains unsolved.
