McMillin was last seen at about 7:00 p.m. on November 21, 1998 at her residence on Steel Creek Road in Fairbanks, Alaska. She was supposed to meet friends that evening, and her sister said she appeared disoriented and dazed, though not impaired. She left driving her dark green 1994 Subaru Loyale wagon with Alaska license plate CSY207. She has never been seen again and the vehicle has never been located. A possible sighting in Anchorage was reported in April 1999, but her whereabouts remain unknown. She worked as a physician’s assistant and has a surgical scar on her left knee. Her case remains unsolved.
