Duela was last seen in Studio City, California on October 20, 2007. She was scheduled to pick up her daughter at the San Diego airport and then travel to Mexico to purchase a condo, but she never arrived at the airport, and it is thought she may have traveled to Mexico the day before to look at the condo herself. She may be driving a faded black two-door 1991 Honda Accord with California license plate 2XIC227. Her hair was dyed reddish-brown at the time, and she has a scar on her eyebrow and abdomen, pierced ears, freckles, and moles on her right arm and left cheek. Her case remains unsolved.
